Sri Vedachalam has a large body of regulatory work under his belt and he is only just getting started.

Sir Vedachalam immigrated to the United States from Delhi, India, and through persistent hard work and peerless ambition has risen to the occasion time and time again. Early in his career, he was a legislative fellow and helped create EPA Water Sense that eventually became part of the America’s Water Infrastructure Act. Now the Director Water Equity and Climate Resilience for ECT Inc., Vedachalam is helping shape the future of water by bringing stakeholders together.

In this interview, Vedachalam explains why water issues are important to him, the trajectory his career has had and his ambitions for the industry. He also shares his perspective on the value of water, generational influence on the water industry and how he would encourage more engagement from the next generation of water workers.
