Rowland Water received a pair of awards in the Graphic Design-Print Category and for its annual Water Quality Report

Rowland Water District received multiple honors in this year’s California Association of Public Information Officials (CAPIO) Epic Awards.

The District received a pair of awards in the Graphic Design-Print Category for the District Quarterly Newsletter and for its annual Water Quality Report, according to the company’s press release

“It is an honor to know that an esteemed judging bench of our peers has awarded us with two top prizes directly related to how we communicate with our customers,” said Tom Coleman, Rowland Water District General Manager. “We know that we’re up against some tough statewide competition.  This is a great feather in the caps of our hard-working staff.”

Each of Rowland’s entries received the EPIC award, CAPIO’s highest honor given to entrants whose ability to communicate positions them among California’s best, added the press release.

In 2016, the district’s “Effective Action for Sustainable Progress” earned an award in the Multi-Year Strategic Planning and Execution category for its development and implementation.

2020’s judging bench included communications peers from the Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers (TAMIO). Award winners were scheduled to be announced at the annual CAPIO conference in April, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, winners were notified and celebrated virtually.
