May 23, 2016
DVGW is the German gas and water engineers association

The DVGW (Deutscher Verein des Gas- und Wasserfachs), the German gas and water engineers association, is to be a new partner of IFAT. IFAT, a trade fair for water, sewage, waste and raw materials management takes place from May 30 to June 3, 2016 at the Messe München exhibition center in Munich.

Stefan Rummel, managing director of Messe München, commented: “We are delighted to have the DVGW on board as a new, strong partner in particular in the area of drinking water. I am confident that this will enable us to further develop the concept for IFAT in this section, too.”

The partnership is intended to grow into a conceptual sponsorship of the DVGW for IFAT 2018.

“As a competence network at the interface between science and research, business and politics, we are among the players actively shaping the future of the energy and water sector. We see IFAT as an innovative platform for the sector as regards international exchange among professionals in water engineering,” said Alexandra Ernst, commercial director at the DVGW.
