Ham Baker Announces Three New Appointments

May 2, 2016
Nigel Gascoyne and Brendan O'Dowd are business development directors; Carl Baker is Midlands area sales manager

Ham Baker Group, a solutions provider for process and flow control, has made three new appointments.

Nigel Gascoyne and Brendan O’Dowd have both been recruited as new business development directors, seeking out opportunities for Ham Baker’s offerings of water and wastewater products, including valves, pipelines, screening equipment and scraper bridges.

Gascoyne has previous experience with GPS PE Pipe Systems and FW Talbot, as well as hands-on skills and knowledge as a maintenance engineer for Thames Water.

Brendan O’Dowd, who prior to Ham Baker was field sales manager for a large team at Wavin, Ireland, has also worked for Liebig Bolts as general sales manager.  In addition, both Gascoyne and O’Dowd have been employed in roles at valve manufacturer AVK.

As well as new recruitment, Ham Baker is also promoting from within as Carl Baker steps up after four years with the company as sales engineer to become Midlands area sales manager.

Paul Higginson, director at Ham Baker Group, commented, “There are real, structured opportunities to progress at Ham Baker as the company continues to win frameworks in the UK, plus overseas contracts, especially in the Middle East. We are very pleased to have brought Nigel and Brendan into the group, but also commit a major amount of time into developing our own managers, such as Carl, from within the organization.”
