AWWA Board of Directors Selects Aurel Arndt as Treasurer

Arndt has been an AWWA member for 30 years

The American Water Works Assn. Board of Directors announced that Aurel Arndt of Allentown, Pa. was elected as the association’s treasurer at the winter board meeting. Also during that time, the next president-elect, four new vice presidents and one new director-at-large were selected.

Arndt was most recently the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer at Lehigh County Authority, a water and wastewater utility in Allentown, Pa. For AWWA, he is currently the chair of the Water Utility Council, which is tasked with setting legislative and regulatory priorities and positions for the association. He also is a member of the Board of Directors and the Executive and Finance Committees. This year, Arndt marks 30 years as an AWWA member.

He has also been active at AWWA’s Pennsylvania Section, serving as chair, board member and a member of the Strategic Planning Committee.

Arndt holds a bachelor of science degree from Ursinus College and a master’s degree in business administration from Lehigh University, both in Pennsylvania. He is a 2006 recipient of AWWA’s George Warren Fuller Award and a 2010 recipient of the Pennsylvania Section’s Samuel Baxter Award.
