Parsons Announces New Executive Leadership Position

Jan. 6, 2016
Virginia L. Grebbien named chief of staff

As part of its plan to reorganize its business operations, Parsons recently announced the restructuring of its business units and leadership. In addition to communicating these changes, the company has announced that Virginia L. Grebbien has been appointed to the newly created position of chief of staff. In this role, she will report to the chairman and chief executive officer and will oversee Parsons’ marketing and communications, government relations, and strategy functions.

Grebbien joined Parsons in 2008 and has 30 years of industry experience. Most recently, she served as the president of Parsons Environment & Infrastructure—now known as Parsons Industrial and led by Michael M. “Mike” Walsh.

“In addition to her water sector experience, Virginia has considerable experience in government relations, public policy, strategic customer development, business development, project development and finance and project management, making her an ideal candidate for the chief of staff position,” said Chuck Harrington, Parsons’ chairman and CEO.

Over the course of her career, Grebbien has served on the boards of numerous industry organizations. She is currently the co-chair of the Southern California Water Committee’s Delta Task Force. Grebbien is a registered professional engineer in the state of California, and she holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.
