Water Planet Expands Engineering Team

Alexander Severt and Jiaran Sun recently joined the company

Water Planet, a global supplier of membrane-based water treatment solutions, has further expanded its engineering team with the addition of Alexander Severt as mechanical and design engineer and Jiaran Sun as research and development engineer.

Severt is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical and ocean engineering. He has been involved in several projects, such as the modeling of offshore wind turbine truss systems. At Water Planet, Severt will provide modeling, fabrication and design support to the membrane and system design team.

Sun joins Water Planet as an R&D Engineer. A recent graduate of UCLA with a M.S. in Environmental & Water Resources Engineering, she completed her Bachelor of Science degree in environmental and chemical engineering at Eastern China University of Science and Technology. Sun has worked as an intern in China and Germany as a researcher and lecturer in the Environmental Engineering field. She will assist with the development and commercialization of Water Planet’s PolyCera polymer and membranes.
