WWEMA Calls for 2016 Board Nominations

Oct. 6, 2015
Association members will elect the board at the organization's annual meeting in November

The Water and Wastewater Equipment Manufacturers Assn. (WWEMA) is a member-driven association that relies on volunteers for leadership. WWEMA has put out a call for nominations for its 2016 board of directions

WWEMA’s board of directors sets a vision for the association, leads the organization as the community of water and wastewater equipment manufacturers and their representatives, and contributes to the advancement of the industry at large. Board members are called upon to think strategically, lead and govern, and advance WWEMA’s primary aim by executing vision and stewardship for the benefit of the association and its members.

Nominees must be full members (manufacturers) of WWEMA who have demonstrated commitment to the association. Benefits of serving on the board include exposure to personal and professional contacts and the chance to exchange ideas with fellow leaders. Members who would like to nominate themselves or someone else should download and complete the online nomination form. The deadline for submitting applications is Oct. 16, 2015.

The 2016 board will consist of up to 18 members, in addition to five officers. Members will elect the 2016 board at WWEMA’s November annual meeting from nominated candidates.

The new members elected will each serve three-year terms. The continuing board members (excluding officers) will complete their remaining years of service. All board members are eligible to serve a second, three-year term if nominated.

The board meets twice a year, in April at the WWEMA Washington Forum and in November at the WWEMA Annual Meeting.
