Smart H2O Summit to Donate Portion of Registration Fees to Water.org

April 27, 2015
Attendees and exhibitors will be asked to make additional contributions at the conference

Smart H2O Summit, taking place Aug. 17 to 19, 2015 in San Francisco, has announced that it will donate 5% of the conference registration fees to Water.org and ask attendees and exhibitors to make additional contributions.

For more than 25 years, Water.org has pioneered safe water and sanitation solutions that give women hope, children health and communities a future. The organization provides market-based solutions that change lives every day.

“We are delighted to make a contribution to such an important and worthwhile cause,” said Smart H2O Summit Event Director Jane McDermott. “Smart H2O Summit and Water.org’s goals are closely aligned as both organizations are dedicated to helping communities find better solutions to providing clean water.”

McDermott said that in addition to donating 5% of the conference registration fees and asking attendees and exhibitors to make additional contributions, Smart H2O Summit will establish an online fundraiser where all interested parties can donate to Water.org before, during and after the event. The event organizer will also raffle off Water.org water bottles to help bring safe drinking water to people in developing countries.

“Water.org is honored to have Smart H2O Summit and its attendees take action to help us further our work. The funds raised through the event will help families around the world access safe water and sanitation,” said Christopher Reimer, brand and marketing at Water.org

Smart H2O Summit was created for municipalities and other key water stewards to help them solve their critical infrastructure challenges. The event is anchored by conference and training programs that offer tracks in management, operations and technical solutions. Industry suppliers will showcase their latest products and solutions on the show floor.
