The American Water Works Assn. (AWWA) and the U.S. Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration (ITA) announced an agreement to co-host a U.S. pavilion at the Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) April 21 to 23, 2015 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. WETEX is an international show focusing on the areas of water conservation, saving natural resources and building a sustainable environment.
AWWA and ITA have contracted with Kallman Worldwide Inc. to manage the pavilion at WETEX for U.S.-based exhibitors looking to expand their businesses in the international water sector. Kallman Worldwide Inc. is an international tradeshow organizing company that represents and promotes the world’s leading events.
To assist in covering the cost for exhibitors in the pavilion, AWWA will use award funds received from the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Market Development Cooperator Program. The Department of Commerce recently presented AWWA with the award to support projects aimed at increasing U.S. exports, creating jobs and strengthening America’s global competitiveness.
“Both AWWA and ITA are eagerly anticipating a presence at 2015’s WETEX in a co-hosted United States pavilion,” said AWWA CEO David LaFrance. “We are striving to reach the international water sector, and this partnership with ITA and the award funds provided to us by the U.S. Department of Commerce are helping us to accomplish that goal.”
