Mountain Water Co. of Missoula, Mont., is asking area commuters and residents to expect detours and be alert to project crews as the company undertakes a water main replacement project on Hilda Avenue.
In a project that began Oct. 13, Mountain Water crews are working to replace a 90-year-old main on Hilda Avenue with a new 12-in. ductile main. Hilda Avenue will be closed between Evans and Beckwith for the duration of the project.
The $125,000 project, part of Mountain Water's ongoing infrastructure improvement initiative, is expected to wrap up by Oct. 24. Commuters who drive, walk or bike through the area are urged to keep apprised of project updates posted at mtnwater.com.
