Water and Wastewater Equipment Manufacturers Association Inc. (WWEMA) Chairman Deb LaVelle named Steven Wood, technical sales manager at Severn Trent Services, Fort Washington, Pa., as recipient of the 2012 James C. Morriss Member Achievement Award at the association's 104th Annual Meeting, Nov. 1 to3 in Las Vegas, Neva.
Wood was recognized for his work as WWEMA's representative on the U.S. Environmental Protections Agency Arsenic Public Water System Compliance and Alternative Affordability Criteria Work Group. This role demanded a great deal of effort within a limited time frame as Wood provided technical expertise in the development of two reports to Congress.
“The reports could not have been completed without Steve’s dedication and expertise,” LaVelle said. “He brought a much-needed manufacturer’s perspective and insight to the work group, and WWEMA is very pleased to be able to honor him for his efforts.”
The James C. Morriss Member Achievement Award each year is presented to a WWEMA member who has contributed significantly to the mission of the association and to the benefit of the water and wastewater industry.
