Black & Veatch Expands Municipal Finance Planning Team

Grant Hoag now serves as a principal consultant

Grant Hoag has joined Black & Veatch’s Municipal Finance Planning team as a principal consultant. In his new role, Hoag will provide municipal utility clients with integrated revenue requirement projections, rate structure updates, utility valuations, long-range economic evaluations and feasibility studies.

Hoag brings more than 25 years of municipal utility finance experience with water, wastewater and storm water utilities to Black & Veatch. His knowledge and background complement additional municipal-focused programs provided by Black & Veatch, including the company’s Alternative Fund Identification service and Capital Prioritization.

Hoag is a recognized industry leader for municipal financing. He currently is chair of the Finance Committee of American Water Works Assn.’s California-Nevada section, and a new board member of the Orange County Water Assn.

In addition, Hoag is a 20-year member of the Water Environment Federation, the California Water Environment Assn. and the Los Angeles City and County Engineers Assn.

Hoag received his bachelor's degree in civil engineering and master’s degree in engineering management from the University of California at Berkeley. He is a registered professional engineer in California and is based in Irvine, Calif.
