Feb. 15, 2001

Dow Chemical Co. has awarded a three-year global provider contract to Endress+Hauser, Inc. to supply pH electrodes.

According to Debbie Mack, Dow's Supplier Management Team Leader, Dow is standardizing its pH electrode selection in a move to reduce engineering time and improve reliability in the field.

"Technology always is the first priority," said Mack. "Obviously, pricing also is a big factor, but price only comes into play after the appropriate technical features have been established."
