The first International Water Week, taking place in Amsterdam between Oct. 29 and Nov. 4, 2011, will represent an ideal forum for the international water sector. This event will bring together businesses, non-profit organizations, government agencies and scientists to explore practical solutions to various global water issues.
This is the first event to deal with integrated solutions covering the entire water cycle. This six-day forum for the water industry will include the internationally renowned Aquatech Amsterdam trade exhibition and the Aquaterra conference, as well as an extensive conference and workshop program.
Royal Netherlands Water Network (KNW) and Waternet with Amsterdam RAI, the International Water Assn. and the Netherlands Water Partnership organized the event. The contribution of KNW and Waternet will include five conferences regarding current issues in the field of water technology and water management.
The conference program will also examine opportunities provided by innovation in water technology, which is vital for many of the major challenges we face today, such as climate change, ageing infrastructures, resource shortages and the like.
