Sensus Appoints Veteran Executive as Chief Financial Officer

James J. Hilty has been with the company for 19 years

Sensus, a smart utility infrastructure company, has appointed James J. Hilty as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) following six months as interim CFO. Hilty has been with the company for 19 years, and previously served as the vice president of business development focusing on corporate development, strategic planning and investor relations.

“[Hilty’s] experience with strategic planning and broad knowledge of the industry, combined with his expertise in corporate finance and governance, give me the confidence that he’ll continue to be a valuable contributor to the company,” Sensus CEO and President Peter Mainz said. “I look forward to continue working with him.”

Earlier this year Hilty was instrumental in helping Sensus assume a new debt structure totaling approximately $700 million with more favorable interest rates and added liquidity.

Hilty has 10 years of audit and tax experience with Ernst and Young and holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and is a certified public accountant.
