Lockwood, Andrews & Newman Appoints Jeremy Nakashima Senior Project Manager

Nakashima will oversee infrastructure projects in the Midwest

Jeremy N. Nakashima, P.E., joined the Midwest office of Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam Inc. (LAN) as a senior project manager. In this role, Nakashima will be responsible for managing municipal infrastructure projects in the Midwest region.

With more than 15 years of experience as a project manager and design engineer, Nakashima has been responsible for all aspects of a project from conception through construction. He has overseen the design and construction of numerous water supply, treatment and distribution facilities for municipal and private utility clients throughout Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana and Michigan. These include improvements to the Junction Pumping Station in Bay City, Mich.; the raw water Lake Pumping Station in Green Bay, Wis.; and the Lexington Pumping Station and Reservoir in Chicago.

His portfolio also includes serving as project manager or project engineer for several wastewater collection, transport and treatment systems. These include designing hydraulic improvements at the Calumet Water Reclamation Plant for the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago; designing and permitting for the Phase IV expansion of the Indian Boundary Sewage Treatment Plant in Bolingbrook, Ill.; and designing new tertiary filtration facilities for the Mahomet Wastewater Treatment Plant in Mahomet, Ill.

Nakashima holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering from the University of Illinois and is a licensed professional engineer in the state of Illinois. He also is a member of the American Water Works Assn., the Illinois Section AWWA, the Water Environment Federation and the Illinois Water Environment Assn.
