The Illinois Section of American Water Works Assn. (ISAWWA) and the Illinois Water Environment Assn. will host its annual conference and expo from March 21 to 24 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel and Conference Center in Springfield, Ill. This year’s conference, WATERCON 2011, will feature opportunities for water and wastewater professionals to exhibit, attend training sessions and compete in technical competitions. In addition, a designated day has been scheduled for young professionals.
“As our industry continues to grow, we see a need to engage our young professionals,” said Laurie Dougherty, ISAWWA’s executive director. “By offering a specific day during Illinois’ largest water and wastewater conference, we can ensure a large reach.”
WATERCON 2011’s young professional’s day will be held on March 23. Beginning at 8 a.m., the day will offer information on leadership and specific presentations geared toward young water and wastewater professionals.
