MWH Soft technology serves as platform for managing water and wastewater assets

MWH Soft, a global innovator of wet infrastructure modeling and management software and technologies, announced that Veolia Water North America selected MWH Soft’s InfoNet as its platform for managing water and wastewater assets. The software will serve as the foundation for continued development of Veolia’s underground asset management strategies and provides a comprehensive geospatial solution for both Veolia and its clients. Veolia has worked exclusively over the past 18 months with MWH Soft to design an easily configurable solution that takes full advantage of Veolia’s field operations and comprehensive asset management strategies.

Veolia Water North America serves more than 14 million people in 650 communities and provides industrial water solutions at about 100 industrial facilities. It treats more than 2.2 billion gal of water and wastewater daily. It is part of Veolia Water, a division of Veolia Environment, the world's largest environmental company. Veolia Water designs, builds, operates and manages various types of facilities, programs and systems. Its services include operations and maintenance services, design-build-operate services, water treatment and distribution systems, wastewater collection and treatment systems, reuse programs, biosolids and composting facilities and related distribution programs, asset management programs and technology solutions.

InfoNet is a purpose built, out-of-the-box, asset and data management system for water distribution, wastewater collection and storm water networks. Using advanced analysis and data validation tools, it ensures informed, swift and cost-effective decision making both for day-to-day management and long-term network planning. Designed for managers, engineers and planners in the water industry, InfoNet enables users to manage, integrate, validate, analyze, and report on their network data to provide accurate, auditable up-to-date information and report on network infrastructure and performance, presented in easy-to-use formats. InfoNet provides for the integration to different applications and data sets already in use, including Esri Geodatabase, generic GIS, corporate databases, CMMS, field data systems, SCADA, hydraulic modeling analysis software or other corporate applications to ensure that managers have a clear single picture of their network infrastructure.

InfoNet also allows engineers the ability to analyze all aspects of the network life cycle. With a robust query engine, users can filter, sort and make complex selections based on virtually any criteria related to their underground assets and related events or inspections. Its geospatial environment lets the user create thematic maps with flexible symbology and rich detail. Its built-in report generator comes with dozens of standard reports and allows a user to build custom reports and graphs against any piece of data stored in the system.
