Oct. 28, 2010
New plant plans to hire up to 30 people

To enhance services to customers, ISCO Industries, a Louisville, Ky.-based distributor and fabricator of piping products, is building a 40,000-sq-ft, 10-acre distribution facility in Kingman, Ariz., and is planning to hire up to 30 people in the area.

The plant will serve as a major hub in the area for ISCO Industries, servicing most of the western U.S. The facility initially will employ 15 people, but plans to employee 15 more in the next two years.

“We chose Kingman as the site for our new facility because of the close proximity to major markets and the availability of a local workforce,” said ISCO Chief Operating Officer Mark Kirchdorfer. “We decided to build a new large facility in order to supply our West Coast customers with quick delivery times and a diverse inventory. This will serve as one of ISCO’s four major hubs in the United States.”

As one of the largest distributors of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe in the United States, ISCO Industries currently has 23 U.S. facilities and also operates facilities in Canada and Australia.

The main functions of the facility will be to fabricate HDPE pipe fittings and custom-designed HDPE structures; stock HDPE pipe and accessories; warehouse, sell, rent and refurbish McElroy fusion equipment; send out field service technicians to operate fusion equipment on customer jobsites; and train customers on HDPE pipe properties and operation of HDPE welding equipment.

Located at 4725 Flightline Drive, Kingman, Ariz., the projected opening date for the plant is Dec. 1.
