Dewberry, a privately held professional services company, acquired the assets of Integra Engineering. Dewberry-Integra will continue to operate from Denver, expanding Dewberry’s western geographic footprint.

“Integra is well-known throughout Colorado for municipal water and wastewater facility engineering,” said Dewberry CEO Donald E. Stone Jr., P.E. “We are excited to enhance Dewberry’s existing capabilities and commit to this new geography.”

Integra Engineering was established in 1995 in Denver. The 26-person company provides planning, design, construction and operational services for municipal and industrial water and wastewater facilities. The company brings unique water treatment technology and large diameter water infrastructure experience to Dewberry’s capabilities.

Integra Engineering has designed innovative technologies including one of the first Actiflo, high-rate sedimentation processes in the United States for Montezuma Water Co. in Dolores, Colo. For the 10-million-gal-per-day Rueter-Hess Water Treatment Plant in Parker, Colo., the company designed the first large-scale ceramic membrane filter systems in the United States as well as advanced processes to remove dissolved organic compounds from the drinking water supply. Integra Engineering has completed numerous projects for Colorado Springs Utilities, Denver Water, Left Hand Water District, Parker Water and Sanitation District, Northern Colorado Water Conservancy District and the cities of Aurora, Boulder, Castle Rock, Greeley, Longmont, and Thornton.

“Dewberry’s reputation for client service and for understanding the local issues that affect clients’ projects closely matches our culture,” said Alan M. Pratt, P.E., principal. “We’re looking forward to bringing Dewberry’s extensive resources to assist us in better serving our clients’ needs.”
