New release features expanded tools and options

VUEWorks Inc. has announced the release of VUEWorks 2010, a major upgrade of its map-centric, Web-enabled, GIS-integrated work order and asset management software. VUEWorks helps local governments and utilities improve service delivery, minimize failure risk, comply with environmental/government regulations and prioritize maintenance of all physical assets, including water, storm/sanitary pipes, facilities, roads and signage.

Scheduled for release in the fourth quarter of 2010, the new “beta” software will be previewed Oct. 4 to 6 at WEFTEC.10 in the company’s booth (#500).

“VUEWorks 2010 is a testament to how we listen to our user community, as it promises to be the fastest, most powerful and easiest-to-use version of the software yet, packed full of features requested by VUEWorks users,” said Rod Lovely, P.E., VUEWorks’ vice president of product management.

New features in VUEWorks 2010 will include:

• Support for ESRI ArcGIS Server versions 9.3.1 and 10.0; • Streamlined interface; • Faster GIS map loading; • Collapsible layer list; • Ability to define work order forms at the activity level; • A dashboard that users can configure with graphs and chart gadgets for real-time statistic feedback on work orders and service calls; and • More options in the Condition and Budget Forecasting modules.
