ITT Releases New Global Citizenship Report

Report released at WEFTEC highlights environmental progress

ITT Corp. has announced the release of its 2009-2010 Global Citizenship Report. The report, which can be found at www.itt.com/citzenshipreport, demonstrates significant environmental, social and governance progress and sets measurable goals for improvement in key areas.

“Our strong focus on global citizenship is vital to both our stakeholders and our long-term business strategy,” said Steven Loranger, ITT’s chairman, president and CEO. “We are proud of our global efforts to consistently integrate environmental, social and governance considerations into our daily operations.”

Highlights of the report include the fact that over the past five years ITT’s operations have reduced energy consumption by 31%, water use by 27%, hazardous waste generation by 46% and intensity of greenhouse gas emissions by 51%. The company is targeting an additional 15% reduction in all of these areas over the next five years. Furthermore, ITT reports that by the end of 2010 its signature corporate citizenship program, ITT Watermark, will have provided access to safe water and sanitation to 500,000 people and that by 2013, the program aims to reach 1 million more people through a $10.5 million pledge.
