Yorkshire Water Recognizes Black & Veatch’s Safety Success

Kevin Carlisle wins Individual Contribution Category of Partner Awards

Black & Veatch professional Kevin Carlisle has won the Individual Contribution category of Yorkshire Water’s Partner Awards. Carlisle was presented with his award at a ceremony hosted by Yorkshire Water at the Royal Armories in Leeds, U.K.

The award commends Carlisle’s dedication as a ganger (foreman of a work gang) to improving site safety and his approach to creating a culture of safety amongst his co-workers that have contributed to the success of construction projects on which he has worked.

Carlisle has worked on various endeavors undertaken by Black & Veatch for Yorkshire Water including current works to increase storm water capacity at Bransholme Lagoon in Hull. Carlisle’s role in developing new procedures and safety rules stems from his experience working in excavations, cofferdams and confined spaces.
