ADS SaniTite HP Pipe Meets ASTM Standards F2736 and F2764

Pipe designed for sanitary sewer truck lines and storm sewer applications

Advanced Drainage Systems, Inc. (ADS), announced that its SaniTite HP pipe meets the requirements for ASTM Standards F2736 and F2764. ASTM standards are instrumental in specifying, testing and evaluating the physical, mechanical, design and installation requirements for plastic pipes, tubing and fittings, including seals, threads and couplings that join them together. Introduced in 2008, SaniTite HP pipe was designed specifically for sanitary sewer truck lines and demanding storm sewer applications.

“The sanitary sewer industry hasn’t had a new pipe introduction in many years. It is consistent with the culture of ADS to bring innovation to the marketplace. SaniTite HP is another example of that,” said Joe Chlapaty, chairman and CEO of ADS.

Manufactured with polypropylene resin, SaniTite HP, 30-in. to 60-in.-diameter pipe, meets ASTM F2764. Its triple-wall construction provides a smooth interior and exterior wall design, supported by a corrugated structural core. This design provides improved stiffness and greater beam strength to minimize deflection and enhance performance, the company said. Additionally, this design improves jobsite durability, simplifies backfill and installation.

SaniTite HP pipe manufactured in diameters 12 in. to 30 in. meets ASTM F2736. Its dual-wall construction, manufactured from superior co-polymer polypropylene resin provides performance ratings that exceed many of today’s industry standards for gravity flow sanitary sewers, according to the company. Its corrugated exterior maximizes stiffness and strength, while its smooth interior provides excellent flow characteristics.

All SaniTite HP pipe diameters feature an extended bell and a spigot, with dual gaskets, for maximum joint integrity. Additionally, the pipe is available in 20 ft and 13 ft lengths to accommodate various trench box dimensions.

“ASTM F2736 and F2764 are all encompassing standards,” Chlapaty said. “These include the material, design, construction and joint performance. As with our other ADS products, which have previously qualified for ASTM standards, this is another independent approval that immediately instills confidence in the performance of our products. Our SaniTite HP pipe products provide unparalleled resistance to the combination of hydrogen sulfide attack, abrasion and corrosion while being much easier to handle on the jobsite.”
