BioAir Scheduled to Complete Large Scale Odor Control Project for New Jersey Utility

March 30, 2010
Mounty Holly Municipal Utilities Authority selects BioAir’s EcoFilter technology

Work is nearing completion on a five-unit, large-scale odor control system for the Mount Holly, N.J., Municipal Utilities Authority (MUA) by BioAir Solutions. Following a thorough review of currently available odor control technologies, the Mount Holly MUA selected BioAir’s EcoFilter technology. EcoFilter utilizes BioAir’s patented EcoBase structured synthetic media, which provides the controlled mass transfer of odorous compounds.

The units are being fabricated and will be installed at two existing treatment facility sites and at two sites where the Mount Holly MUA is building new treatment facilities. The different sites include a wide range of applications, including treatment of odors from the headworks area, sludge storage tanks and lift stations. Equipment delivery is scheduled for May 2010.

“This project, along with similar projects in Florida; Texas; Pennsylvania; Ontario, Canada; and Georgia, represents a strong start for BioAir’s EcoFilter product line,” said Louis le Roux, president of BioAir. “BioAir is pleased to be partnering with the Mt. Holly Municipal Utilities Authority to provide them with the latest in biological odor control.”

BioAir Solutions, established in 2008, develops new technologies and solutions aiming to make biological odor and air emissions control more efficient, reliable and cost-effective for municipal and industrial wastewater treatment facilities.
