As a part of its continuing global expansion, Aquatech announced the establishment of Aquatech B.V., a fully owned subsidiary in Leiden, the Netherlands.

Peter Dencher, an executive in the European water technology market, has taken on the leadership role as managing director for Aquatech B.V. Dencher has much experience in the water industry, having run Christ Holland for nearly 20 years, and subsequently Biothane Netherlands. Dencher will be responsible for building the Aquatech B.V. organization to support European and African activities for Aquatech.

Aquatech plans to increase market share in the European and African markets. Aquatech B.V. will provide support and service to its clients while delivering technology solutions.

The company will also focus on providing local support in Europe to Aquatech's key petrochemical, oil and gas and power clients, as well as work to solve water scarcity challenges in key water starved regions such as North and South Africa.

"I am very pleased that Peter Dencher has joined us in this role. I have known him for a long time and believe we could not have found a better manager for this job," said Dr. Karl Michael Millauer, Aquatech's senior vice president. "He is highly recognized in the industry and has a great track record. I am sure he will build a strong team and write a success story for Aquatech in Europe and Africa."
