HDR’s John Maxwell Tapped to Lead Integrated Water Planning Business Class

Class to focus on water planning

John Maxwell has been named director of the new Integrated Water Planning business class for HDR’s Water business group. Maxwell, who is based out of HDR’s Olympia, Wash., office, has been with HDR for 30 years.

The new business class will focus on water planning and how HDR’s clients deal with these changes, and will help HDR coordinate the internal boundaries between business groups to make certain current and future clients get the top experts for each project.

Maxwell is a registered, professional engineer. His expertise includes engineering, planning and financial management. He manages client projects related to the planning, financing and design of individual and regional water supply, resource management, wastewater and storm water projects. Over the past 30 years, he has participated in leading the development of more than 100 utility system plans, addressing all facets of utility planning, resource and utility management, financial strategies, rates and capital improvements.
