Sherwin-Williams Introduces Chemically-Resistant Cor-Cote HB Urethane

Low-VOC moisture-cure urethane technology provides four-hour return to service

Sherwin-Williams introduced Cor-Cote HB Urethane for the assets of municipal and industrial wastewater treatment facilities, including clarifiers, settling tanks, wet wells and grit chambers. It can be applied on both concrete and steel substrates.

“Compared to the traditional seven-day return to service of conventional epoxy technology, this high-build product will be welcomed by owners of wastewater treatment assets,” said Brad Rossetto, vice president, marketing, Sherwin-Williams Protective & Marine Coatings. “Resuming immersion service within four hours of application is well within the capabilities of Cor-Cote HB Urethane.”

Reinforced with micaceous iron oxide, the company said Cor-Cote HB Urethane also delivers high abrasion resistance, increased film integrity and superior edge retention qualities.

With a low temperature cure at 20ºF and application in conditions up to 85% relative humidity, coating contractors will have more painting days available with Cor-Cote HB Urethane, Rossetto said.
