Recognized for new variable speed pump controller

ITT Bell & Gossett has won a 2010 AHR Expo Innovation Award for its new Technologic 502 variable speed pump controller.

The Technologic 502 was among a group of new products to receive the Honorable Mention designation from hundreds of new products considered. Product entries were judged for innovation, application, value to user and market impact. The winners will be honored at a ceremony during the AHR Expo in Orlando, Fla., on Jan. 26, 2010.

The Innovation Awards are jointly sponsored by the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE); the Air-Conditioning Heating and Refrigeration Institute; and International Exposition Company, producers and organizers of the AHR Expo. A panel of judges made up of ASHRAE members made the final selections.

The Technologic 502 is a hardware platform providing pumping software and algorithms aimed to create a smarter, more cost-efficient and energy-saving pump system for HVAC and pressure booster applications.

As part of Bell & Gossett’s commitment to green energy-efficient solutions, the Technologic 502 variable speed pump controller aims to reduce its environmental impact through energy-saving efficiency and water conservation. The Technologic 502 contributes to LEED certification and may also qualify for economic stimulus rebate or local power company incentives.
