ABS Launches New Submersible Sewage Pumps

Oct. 13, 2009

ABS introduced ABS EffeX, a comprehensive range of submersible sewage pumps driven by premium-efficiency motors that reduce energy consumption and environmental impact, at WEFTEC.09. The advanced technology of the ABS EffeX range gives higher pump reliability, fewer blockages and lower operational costs.

The new ABS EffeX range is a world first because the pumps are driven by a premium-efficiency motor, and it incorporates other major innovative features as well. This unique pump range meets the demand of wastewater treatment facilities for higher pump performance, plus reduced energy consumption and environmental impact. The new pump range also matches anticipated forthcoming legislation in many countries regarding higher motor efficiency for submersible pumping.

The new range is a completely new concept in submersible wastewater pumping equipment. It focuses on delivering the utmost in reliable operation, including advanced designs with greater safety margins and blockage-resistance free solids passage of at least 75 mm, and incorporates the first premium-efficiency IE3 motor designed and tested in accordance with IEC 60034-30* together with optimized hydraulics.
