JM Eagle, the world’s largest manufacturer of plastic pipe, is promoting Dave Slawson to vice president of operations, effective Oct. 1.
The manager of JM Eagle’s PVC plant in Meadville, Pa., for 22 years, Slawson will now supervise production at the company’s 23 plants nationwide from its Los Angeles headquarters.
“Slawson brings a wealth of experience to the role of vice president of operations,” said JM Eagle President and Chief Executive Officer Walter Wang. “During his long tenure at this and other plants, even long before the current ownership, he proved himself extremely knowledgeable about production, as well as a strong team leader.”
Launching his career at the Franklin, Pa., plant as a general worker, Slawson also served at plants in Pueblo, Colo., Dennison, Texas, and Glencoe Springs, Fla.
“Slawson has seen many changes to plant operations over the years, including complete automation in production and JM Eagle’s greatly expanded product line,” said Kaushal Rao, outgoing director of operations, who will assist Slawson throughout the transition. “His ground-up, hands-on understanding of the plastic pipe manufacturing process will prove invaluable in this role.”
