ECO:LOGIC Receives Stimulus Funding for Wastewater Plant

Funding to finance a new wastewater plant in Live Oak, Calif.

ECO:LOGIC Engineering, Rocklin, Calif., has secured $16 million in funding under the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act of 2009 to finance the construction of a new wastewater treatment plant in Live Oak, Calif.

The funding agreement consists of a $10 million grant— the maximum amount possible— and a $6 million low-interest loan. ECO:LOGIC said that the new plant is necessary to ensure that the city of Live Oak remains in compliance with wastewater discharge standards.

“The financial study completed by ECO:LOGIC was critical to securing the grant and low-interest loan for Live Oak,” said Mike Harrison, a project engineer at ECO:LOGIC. “It would have been a real burden on Live Oak’s residents and businesses to have to build the plant without this financial assistance.”
