Eco-sound water management solution firm continues growth

J. Matthew Born, CEM, 53, joins Bensenville, Ill.-based Earthwise Environmental Inc. as vice president of contractor sales-central region. In his new role with Earthwise Environmental, Born works with both engineering firms and contractors to develop and meet hydronics specifications.

Earthwise Environmental designs and implements eco-friendly water management solutions for clients including hospitals, schools, hotels, food processing plants, light industrial and commercial building applications.

Born is an Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) Certified Energy Manager (CEM), one of only 6,000 worldwide. With more than three decades of manufacturing, technical operations and sales background, most recently as a plan/specification engineer at H-O-H Chemicals, Inc., Born is well versed in large-scale operation water treatment needs.

“Matt’s background and strong customer-oriented philosophy help him create an excellent rapport with engineering firms and contractors, ideal for his new role with Earthwise,” said Robert S. Miller, Earthwise Environmental president and founder. “His knowledge of environmental concerns and energy management challenges in manufacturing and operational applications will be key to our ability to provide a chemical-free water treatment approach to contractors and their clients.”

At H-O-H, Born specialized in hydronic project system equipment including reverse osmosis, water softeners, purified water skids, steam, chilled and hot water loops, condenser systems and ground/air source heat pump loops.
