ESL Power Systems, Inc. Releases StormSwitch

Manual transfer switches can help facilities prepare for power outages

ESL Power Systems, Inc. has introduced StormSwitch, a line of ready-to-install commercial manual transfer switches engineered to provide safe and easy portable generator hookup to lifts or pump stations when utility power is out.

Once professionally installed by an electrician, StormSwitch provides preparedness for any facility. During a power outage, StormSwitch makes it simple and safe to plug in the lift or pump station to a portable generator.

It combines a robust industrial-grade transfer switch with color-coded cam-style connectors for quick connection to a portable power generator. Integral utility and generator manual disconnects are interlocked to prevent cross-connecting the power sources. The disconnects are factory wired and can be supplied as either molded case circuit breakers or switches.

It is UL Listed as a Manual Transfer Switch under UL 1008, complying with NEC Article 702 requirements for optional standby systems and patented under U.S. File No. 7462792, and it is available in 200A, 400A and 600A versions with 1P, 3P, 3P+N configurations for voltages up to 600VAC.
