Wisconsin municipal engineering firm first to offer asset management solution hosted by ASP

VUEWorks Inc. is pleased to announce that Ruekert/Mielke Inc. (RM) of Waukesha, Wis., has joined its channel partner program. RM will provide sales, implementation, training and ASP Web hosting services for VUEWorks GIS-integrated asset management solutions to municipal and utility clients throughout Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.

As a municipal civil engineering consultant, RM has provided GIS consulting services to municipalities for more than 20 years and is recognized as one of the state’s leading GIS authorities. Ten years ago, RM began developing customized data management and Web-based solutions for clients. With much of the nation’s infrastructure in poor repair, RM recognized that clients needed a system for repairing and maintaining physical assets, preferably a solution that would work with their GIS data. The company researched numerous asset management software solutions before selecting VUEWorks, a GIS-integrated, Web-based solution that offered advanced asset management capabilities.

"Our new partnership with VUEWorks expands our ability to take municipalities and utilities to a whole new level for managing their infrastructure while carefully expending limited funds in the most cost-effective manner,” said William Mielke, chief executive officer and president of RM. “In most cases, our country is utilizing our first generation of infrastructure, which is wearing out and needs to be managed, repaired or replaced in order to provide the public services we have grown to expect. We are excited about the opportunity to play a major role in helping communities undertake this vitally important task."

"Implementing and utilizing VUEWorks software for asset management purposes is a natural progression and extension of the GIS services our firm has been providing to our municipal clients over the last 20 years,” said Thomas Tym, principal and primary contact for RM's Technology Services Department. "Recognizing the level of trust our clients have in our technical expertise and recommendations, our careful evaluation and decision to join the VUEWorks team says a lot about their capabilities and commitment to client satisfaction."

“When Ruekert/Mielke came to us it didn’t take long to realize we had a vision match,” said Rod Lovely, vice president of product management for VUEWorks. “The ultimate winner in this endeavor will be RM clients and their constituents who adopt the cost-effective asset management solutions that will be offered through this partnership.”
