MACTEC Names New Dallas Office Manager

Ryan T. Smith, P.E. has been named Dallas office manager at MACTEC. Allen Kibler, President of MACTEC Engineering and Consulting, Inc., made the announcement.

“Ryan is a proven leader and is a great match for the services offered by the Dallas office,” said Sam Watson, Texas area manager. “He is a motivated manager who will help grow and diversify our Dallas organization.”

Smith joined MACTEC in 2002. For the past three-and-one-half years Smith has served as senior engineer on the new San Francisco – Oakland Bay Bridge project for MACTEC. Smith has also worked for a construction contractor in Houston as a project engineer, as well as serving in the U.S. Army’s 101st Airborne Division and 326th Engineer Battalion for four years.

Smith is a member of the Society of American Military Engineers, the Prestressed/Precast Concrete Institute and is a U.S. Army Ranger.

Smith holds a B.S. degree in civil engineering from Louisiana Tech University and a M.S. degree in engineering from the Cockrell School of Engineering at the University of Texas. He is a registered professional engineer in Texas and California.
