Allied Moulded Products Celebrates 50th Anniversary

Company was established in August 1958

Bryan, Ohio, City Council honored W. P. (Paul) Troder, president of Allied Moulded Products, Inc., declaring Aug. 2, 2008 as “Paul Troder Day.”

During the week of its anniversary, Allied hosted its first Vendor Appreciation Day to recognize companies that have helped Allied achieve 50 years in business by providing Allied with excellent products and services at competitive rates.

Allied held a company picnic on Aug. 2 with many employees and their families. Special guests included company mascots Ampy and Watts, and there was a huge banner congratulating Troder, signed by all the employees.

A committee created a cookbook containing favorite recipes submitted by Allied employees. The cookbooks were sold to raise money for a charity called “Adopt a Family.”

Allied Moulded Products, Inc., manufacturer of the original fiberglass outlet box, was established in August 1958. President W. P. (Paul) Troder began by producing the first outlet boxes in his garage. Due to their ability to resist corrosion, the boxes were sold into the Wisconsin and Minnesota markets and were exceptionally suited for use in chicken coops, hog houses and cattle barns.

In an effort to diversify, Allied began developing its line of fiberglass industrial electrical enclosures in 1988.
