Pressure Systems Appoints New Business Development Director

Randy Akers will help company provide comprehensive solutions to the liquid and pressure measurement industries

Pressure Systems, manufacturer of KPSI Level and Pressure Transducers, recently named Randy Akers as its new business development director to help meet the company's objective of providing more comprehensive and integrated solutions to the liquid and pressure measurement industries.

Akers will be responsible for evaluating current Pressure Systems' markets to define industry needs that will steer the company's product development. In addition, Akers will identify customer problems and apply the company's advanced level measurement technology to existing industry situations.

He will also research additional market segments that could benefit from advanced liquid and pressure measurement to broaden the use of liquid and pressure measurement technology across other industries.

Akers will coordinate these research efforts with the company's sales, development engineering and technology staff to maximize the extensive knowledge base that exists within the company.

As the former director of marketing for The Ludlow Group and director of sales and marketing for the Mitsubishi Kagaku Imaging Corp., Akers has coordinated product development efforts and marketing communications programs on a global scale.

Stephen Yakshe, president of Pressure Systems, noted "Randy's experience in developing and implementing marketing programs that focused on aligning organizational activities with the needs of customers gives him unique insight into identifying trends within our industries as well as solving customers' problems. As level and pressure measurement technology intensifies in regards to accuracy and functionality, Randy will be able to bring the benefits of our product offerings to existing customers as well as to new markets."

Akers earned his bachelor’s of paper science and engineering from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio.
