Godwin Pumps Announces Promotions

Bryan Gassler and Stephanie Morgan promoted to marketing and communications positions

Godwin Pumps has announced the promotions of Bridgeport, N.J.-based Bryan Gassler to marketing manager and Stephanie Morgan to corporate communications manager.

“To be successful at Godwin, you have to want to roll up your sleeves and get involved,” said Godwin President John Michael Paz. “Both Bryan and Stephanie started their careers with Godwin from the bird’s eye view—in our yard and on our shop floor. There’s no better way to promote our pumps and people than by becoming one of them.”

Gassler joined Godwin in 2002, first as a forklift operator at the Bridgeport home office. He later moved into field service to fuse pipe, set up big jobs and operate machinery. After one year in the yard and field, Gassler earned a position in the marketing department as a marketing specialist, responsible for Godwin’s national tradeshow schedule.

“Bryan has worked to streamline our tradeshow participation, and has therefore been critical in increasing our exposure both nationally and internationally,” said Paz. “He received a tremendous amount of mentoring from our former marketing director, and will continue to represent us well in his new role.”

As marketing manager, Gassler will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the marketing department including media advertisement, tradeshows, customer relationship management (CRM), lead fulfillment and consistent marketing support of our branch offices. He will provide worldwide support for Godwin’s 26 locations and distributors globally.

Gassler previously served as a marketing assistant for Edel Entertainment in New York City, and as a Heavy Equipment Operator for A. Scott Enterprises, Saylorsburg, Pa. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Communications from Kutztown University, and is a member of the National Stone, Sand, and Gravel Association.

Morgan joined Godwin in 2005 as a technical writer, responsible for the Operations and Maintenance manuals and marketing literature for Godwin’s pumps, light towers and generators. In her three years with Godwin, she has also contributed to corporate presentations and public relations, advertising campaigns, technical papers and articles for publications in the various markets served by Godwin’s equipment and accessories. In her new role, Morgan will develop the communications department, with responsibility for external and internal company communications.

“Stephanie joined Godwin as a technical writer, but has a background in both marketing and technical communications,” said Paz. “She has stepped up our exposure in the trade publications and conferences we participate in and we look forward to growing this facet of our communications initiative around her.”

“With 26 full branch locations, two major U.S. distribution points, and a manufacturing facility in the UK, we needed to step up our internal communications to continue to deliver the best product to our customers; and our employees. Stephanie will continue to write articles and lead our PR initiatives. She will also be responsible for hiring and supervising another technical writer,” Paz said.

Morgan previously served as director of communications for Advantica, Inc. in Carlisle, Pa. She earned her bachelor’s degree in English – Professional Writing from Elizabethtown College, and is a Senior Member of the Society for Technical Communications and a member of the Construction Writers Association.
