ADS, LLC to Receive Two WEF Innovative Technology Awards

Sept. 12, 2008
Awards will be presented during ceremonies at WEFTEC.08

ADS Environmental Services and Accusonic Technologies, two divisions of ADS, LLC, will each receive the prestigious Innovative Technology Award from the Water Environment Federation (WEF), an international not-for-profit technical and educational water quality organization. The awards will be presented during ceremonies at WEFTEC.08—WEF’s 81st annual technical exhibition and conference—next month in Chicago.

The Innovative Technology Awards, which include one award for each of the four categories of collection systems, instrumentation, process equipment and solids handling and disposal, are presented annually to WEF associate members who have introduced new innovative products or services related to the construction, operation or maintenance of treatment facilities.

ADS Environmental Services is being recognized in the collection systems category for its ADS Spider technology. The ADS Spider merges two existing technologies to increase the efficiency of alarm notification for broad applications including wastewater operations. The device uses cellular service to simultaneously act as an alarm dialer and data logger. It communicates directly with the operator without using an interposing Web service.

Accusonic Technologies is being recognized in the instrumentation category for its Accusonic 7510+ flow meter technology. The device uses multiple chordal path, transit-time technology with application specific transducers to provide significant flow metering capability across a large range of pipes and channels as well as cross sectional temperature data.

ADS Environmental Services and Accusonic Technologies will be honored during WEFTEC.08, the largest water quality event in North America and largest annual water quality exhibition in the world. More than 18,000 of the world’s leading water quality experts and 1,000 companies featuring the latest in water quality technology are expected at McCormick Place in Chicago from October 18 to 22, 2008.
