A.J. Antunes & Co. to Install Drinking Water Systems in the Beijing Olympics Water Cube Building

March 14, 2008
Antunes will be installing seven water filtration systems using multibore ultrafiltration membranes

The 2008 Beijing Olympic Water Cube Building will have water filtration systems manufactured by A.J. Antunes & Co., a manufacturer of water filtration systems, countertop foodservice equipment, electronic controls and air and gas pressure switches. These water filtration systems will be used for the consumable drinking water throughout the building.

“These systems are ideal for the Beijing Olympics,” said Kitty Cheng, general manager of the Antunes China manufacturing facility. “These systems contain ultrafiltration systems that remove almost all suspended particles in the water. Because these systems are self-cleaning they will be able to handle the heavy flow demands created by the spectators at the 2008 Olympics.”

With the help of A.J. Antunes & Co. distributor John Lau, Antunes will be installing seven water filtration systems using multibore ultrafiltration membranes to produce bottled quality drinking water for the Water Cube Building at the Beijing Olympics in August. These systems remove particles and cysts as small as .015 microns and are self-cleaning, allowing the cartridges to last a minimum of 5 years while wasting very little water—averaging 96% water recovery.

“The purpose of our Antunes Filtration Technologies Division is to provide the highest quality water for the world,” said CEO Glenn Bullock. “We are honored to be selected as the company who will be supplying quality drinking water filtration systems for the Beijing Olympic Water Cube Building.”

A.J. Antunes & Co. also has water filtration systems installed in the Beijing Capital Museum and the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China.
