Industrial Scientific Announces Organizational Changes

Dr. Eva Yi Chen, Werner Tilling and Kavita Iyengar appointed to new positions

In order to support the growing organization, Industrial Scientific Corp. has announced the following organizational changes.

Dr. Eva Yi Chen has been elected as president of Industrial Scientific Asia-Pacific. Chen assumes her new duties following the retirement of Dr. Annie Wang. Chen will be based at the company’s Asia-Pacific headquarters in Shanghai, China. Chen most recently served as director of Alcatel-Lucent Ventures in Murray Hill, N.J. In 2005, Chen was the recipient of the Magnolia Award, given by Shanghai government to multinational executives for the contribution to the economical development of Shanghai.

Werner Tilling has been appointed to the position of country manager for Germany. In this position, Werner will have managing director responsibilities at Industrial Scientific’s German subsidiary. Werner comes to Industrial Scientific from Dresser Europe GmbH where he held positions of export manager, sales and marketing director and CEO. Prior to Dresser, Werner worked for many years with Siemens Nixdorf in Germany, Singapore and Australia in various roles relating to their ERP sales and project activities.

Kavita Iyengar has been promoted to the position of director of quality and reliability. In this position, Iyengar will have responsibility for leading the implementation and execution of global systems, processes and tools that ensure the highest quality and reliability of Industrial Scientific products and services throughout the entire lifecycle. Iyengar has been with Industrial Scientific for four years and has held the positions of SQA engineer, software QA team lead, and most recently, software engineering manager.
