The Plastics Pipe Institute has retracted its news release dated June 11, 2008 and the contents therein.

The news release, titled "Plastics Pipe Institute Issues Cautionary Advisory on Fusible PVC," claimed the "pipe's susceptibility to rapid crack propagation."
