New Staff Changes at Chester Engineers

Company hires new director of program management and corporate safety director

Robert O. Agbede, president and CEO of Chester Engineers, is pleased to announce the hiring of John W. Spires Jr., P.E., as director of program management, and Jason Hodgson as corporate safety director.

Spires has nearly 40 years of experience in all phases of civil engineering and construction management/inspection services, having worked in a variety of senior project management roles for various engineering firms, including Chester. During his previous tenure with Chester, Spires’ construction management work included UPMC’s Hillman Cancer Institute and Professional Office Building No. 2.

Hodgson is a Certified Safety Professional with more than 10 years of experience in the field. Most recently he was Dick Corp.’s construction manager of the new $375 million UPMC Children’s Hospital in Lawrenceville, Pa.
