Organizations commit to reduce water waste and inefficiency

On April 21, 2008, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Office of Water and the National Rural Water Association signed a proclamation in Washington, D.C., on rural water efficiency and conservation.

The two organizations commit to work together to reduce water waste and inefficiency and increase awareness of the value of water.

"Water is too precious to waste so we're excited about this timely partnership to reduce the leaks and save water, energy and money," said Benjamin H. Grumbles, assistant administrator for water.
