Jeffrey Parker to Step Down as Executive Chairman of Consolidated Water Co., Ltd.

Parker will continue service on board of directors

Consolidated Water Co., Ltd. recently announced that Jeffrey M. Parker has informed the company that he will step down from his position as executive chairman effective July 4, 2008, in order to pursue other interests. Parker will continue to serve as non-executive chairman of the company's board of directors.

Parker has been a director of Consolidated Water Co., Ltd. since 1980 and chairman of the board since 1982. He served as chief executive of the company from 1982 until Jan. 1, 2004, and continued his employment at the company with responsibility for strategic business development and investor relations activities.

"On behalf of management, the board of directors and shareholders, I would like to express our appreciation for Mr. Parker's 25 years of dedicated executive service to Consolidated," said Rick McTaggart, president and chief executive officer of Consolidated Water Co., Ltd. "He served as CEO of the company during a period of rapid growth, during which Consolidated emerged as an internationally recognized leader in the conversion of seawater into potable water throughout the Caribbean region. We are delighted that he will continue to be actively involved in the company's future as chairman of the board, and we wish him all the best in the pursuit of his new interests."

The responsibility for strategic business development and investor relations activities will be transferred to McTaggart over the next several months.
