Almost all the available stand space for Aquatech China 2008 has been sold some four months before the show opens its doors to water industry professionals from China and around the world. The leading international trade exhibition for process, drinking and wastewater will be held for the first time in China from May 21 to 23, 2008.
At the moment, more than 240 companies from China and the rest of the world have already registered as exhibitors. The exhibition floor of the Shanghaimart Expo is now filled to 95% of its capacity. “We have already reached our targets for 2008,” said Paddy Young, senior domain manager of Aquatech. “Although we knew the Chinese market was in demand, our expectations have been exceeded.”
The potential of China has been well documented, with some 1.3 billion inhabitants driving double-digit economic growth. The country’s entry to the WTO and the awarding of the 2008 Olympic Games has accelerated this process. As cities grow exponentially and commercial and industrial output increases, huge pressure is being placed on China’s water infrastructure. These developments offer unprecedented opportunities for water industry developers and related businesses.
Aquatech China will host over 300 companies from all over the world. They will display the latest products to thousands of professionals from the international water industry.
The show is further strengthened by an extensive conference program. The International Water Association (IWA) will organize conferences on wastewater recycling and reuse, desalination, membrane systems for water and waste water treatment, and new types of waste water treatment. The latest research papers and studies exploring contemporary trends in water technology will be discussed.
