Ashland Purchases France Water Business

Headquartered in Dublin, Ohio., Ashland Specialty Chemical Co., a division of Ashland, Inc., purchased the water treatment business of Otene, STTE and Grai companies, headquartered in Bezon, Paris, France, in an effort to strengthen Ashland’s position in the European market. Terms of the stock purchase agreement were not announced. However, the business will be consolidated into Ashland France, a wholly owned affiliate company of Ashland, Inc., and will operate within Ashland Specialty Chemical's Drew Industrial Division and continue to supply products for industrial water treatment, cooling, boiler, wastewater and specific process chemicals throughout France.(Source: Ashland Specialty Chemical Co.)
