DeZURIK Acquires Copes-Vulcan

DeZURIK has acquired Copes-Vulcan, a Pennsylvania-based manufacturer of flow control equipment used in the power generation and process industries such as pulp and paper, chemical and petrochemical.

"The acquisition of Copes-Vulcan allows DeZURIK to expand its wide range of valves and related products to include severe duty globe control valves," said Wayne Robbins, President of DeZURIK.

"The addition of Copes-Vulcan provides DeZURIK with the remaining products to supply a complete product package to the power, petrochemical and general process industries."

DeZURIK currently manufactures globe and rotary control valves through ANSI Class 600, while Copes-Vulcan manufactures globe control valves through ANSI Class 4500. In addition, Copes-Vulcan manufactures desuperheaters, turbine bypass systems and associated control equipment for severe duty and general service applications.

Copes-Vulcan specifies its products worldwide for operating conditions such as high-pressure drop, high temperature, or applications subject to erosion, high noise levels or vibration. Sales and service support is provided from 103 offices around the world. A Technical Development Center provides state-of-the-art high-pressure flow loop testing of valves, desuperheaters and steam conditioning equipment.
